The Park City Board of REALTORS® has released year over year quarterly statistics for Summit and Wasatch Counties. The overall real estate market continues to be healthy, stable, and growing at sustainable rates.
The number of Park City area single family market transactions and the median sales price grew at 7% and 7% respectively over the past year. The bulk of these sales occurred outside the Park City Limits as buyers searched for properties that fit their lifestyle and budget. The condominium market transactions and median sales price grew at 10% and 10% respectively over the past year. These sales were spread more evenly across the Summit and Wasatch markets. We are just days away from the Sundance Film Festival which will take place in Park City January 18-28 2018. It is an exciting time to be in Park City. Our town is turned into a mini Hollywood with screenings in various locations around Park City. If you aren't able to get into some of the extremely VIP parties...don't fret! There are many exhibits and installations that are open to the public. Don't forget that people watching on Main St. is free! Sundance is also a great time to ski! The ski resorts are typically empty during the festival...so get on up to the resorts and enjoy the slopes! Rare Ski In, Ski Out Real Estate Development Considered At Base Of Park City Mountain.
There are very few true, ski in, ski out real estate opportunities at the base of Park City Mountain Village. By comparison, Deer Valley has multiple ski in, ski out communities, with entire neighborhoods serving as entry points to the mountain. The base of Park City is situated in Old Town, and is surrounded by some historic homes, and the Park City Municipal Golf Course.
There are some Park City homes and condos for sale, but the new owner of Park City Mountain, Vail Resorts, is looking to develop one of the parcel that is now serving as the parking lot and is one of the few, major development parcels located directly at the base of Park City.
